Two weeks in India: Itinerary Suggestion

Start your Indian adventure in Delhi, the manic and dusty but fascinating capital of India. Spend a couple of days taking in the incredible sights of both Old and New Delhi, such as Humayun’s Tomb, Qutb Minar, Gandhi Simtri and the Red Fort.

Next, head to Agra,home to the magnificent and simply magical Taj Mahal. Don’t forget to also pay a visit to the stunning Agra Fort as well as the Taj’s little sister, the Baby Taj.

Complete the Golden Triangle in Jaipur, also known as the pink city. On route, stop to visit the Tomb of Akbar the Great at Sikandra and the old capital of the Mughal Empire, Fatehpur Sikri. Spend a couple of days in Jaipur to visit the City Palace and the hilltop castle of Amer Fort.

For your next stop head southwards to Mumbai, India’s most populous city and a wonderful contrast to Delhi. Take a short boat ride from the port to explore the ancient Elephanta Cave Temples. Experience a very different side to Mumbai with a tour of the city’s largest slum, Dharavi.

Finally, head to Goa, for a few days well deserved rest and relaxation. Enjoy the beaches in all their glory, indulge in food and drink, and recharge the batteries.
