The Terracotta Army is one of the greatest archeol The Terracotta Army is one of the greatest archeological finds of our time and a sight I will never forget. Constructed over 2000 years ago to guard the tomb of China's first Emperor Qin, it was only discovered in 1974. So far approx. 8000 warriors have been revealed, as well as horses, chariots and weaponry. The scale, detail and historical magnitude of it is astounding.

Now a UNESCO world heritage site, the old town of Colonia is a popular entry point for tourists - thanks to a quick 50 min ferry ride from BA - and a wonderful introduction to Uruguay and its laid back way of life.
